UK Pole Dance Day Pole Jam

Thank you to all who came to the jam on Saturday, it was great to meet up with you all, have a jam and do some challenges.

Big thanks to Kate Tolhurst who performed a pole routine for the first time ever, she did fantastically well even though being a little nervous to start with.

Purity Instructors – Suze, Emma and Beth did a 90 second challenge to see how many pole moves they could do without feet touching the floor. All managed to do it! as you will see here it was very close between them all!!

1st Suze – 22 Moves
2nd Emma – 21 Moves
3rd Beth – 20 Moves

Instructor Challenge

My challenge was to let the people at the jam select a song for me to dance to, I didn’t know what it was until it started. Despite the fact I was absolutely shattered I still enjoyed dancing to it. They picked Puretone – Addicted To Bass.

Here is a video of my routine:

Please note that with all Purity classes they are lessons rather than pole jams, which means you must follow the teachers instruction rather than swapping moves with each other. We believe this is the safest way to run classes, especially as all the teachers have been trained on how to teach moves safely and can work out if you are ready for certain moves. If you see someone doing a new move and would like to give it a go then by all means ask your teacher, I’m sure they will be happy to teach it to you, or give you advice on what moves will get you ready for it.

UK Pole Dance Day

UKPDD is fast approaching on Saturday 1st May 2010. This was created by Equity to celebrate the joy of pole dancing. At Purity we are holding a Pole Jam at the Purity Studio in Reading 1-4pm.

We will be playing on the poles, there will also be a couple of routines and challenges from some of the Purity Teachers. It would be lovely if some of the students would like to do a performance, you can buddy up and do a doubles routine, even if it’s just a routine workshop (I can shout the moves out if you like)

All the details can be found on the Events Page.
